FINE ART SESSIONS
BLACK | COLORED | WHITE BACKGROUND
The most popular type of session I offer are black/white/colored background portraits. Each of these styles are photographed the same way - at the entrance to your barn aisle away from direct sunlight, in a relaxed environment with no equipment other than my camera. Following your session, the background is meticulously edited in behind your horse. Lead ropes, scars, and stains are also removed.
BLACK BACKGROUND: A classic and elegant style of portraiture which capitalizes on a minimalistic black background containing no distractions from your horse's character. Low key portraits evoke feelings of class, depth, drama, and nobility.
COLORED BACKGROUND: Appearing as if they're taken straight from the Renaissance era, colored background portraiture gives the feeling of an indoor studio and a painting all in one. Choose the color of the textured background to best match the decor of your home. These one-of-a-kind portraits evoke feelings of drama, grandeur, vitality, and sensuous richness.
WHITE BACKGROUND: White background photography is one of the most eye-catching styles which invites light and airiness to your room. The minimal white background contrasts against the bold appearance of your horse, stirring emotions of purity, sophistication, refinement and simplicity.

OUTDOOR SESSIONS
BLACK | COLORED | WHITE BACKGROUND
Few things are as beautiful as a horse against a natural background! Outdoor sessions are photographed at either sunrise or sunset, when the sun is low and soft in the sky. Allow me to capture the special bond you share with your equine partner, or create special imagery showing the athleticism of your horse. Sessions are typically photographed in an outdoor arena, paddock, or pasture. Trailer-in locations such as state parks or open spaces are also available!
UNDER SADDLE: You and your horse work extremely hard to build your athleticism and skills under saddle - what better a way to celebrate your accomplishments than by capturing where you are in your journey with gorgeous portraiture?
OUR BOND: Only equestrians know how special a friendship with a horse can be - allow me to photograph the bond you share with your equine other half in an outdoor location of your choosing!
AT LIBERTY / LUNGE: Life can change on a dime - especially when it comes to horses. Allow me to create stunning portraits of your horse in in a style that highlights freedom! We'll either turn your horse loose in a paddock or pasture, or I'll have you lunge your horse while I capture photos and later remove the halter and lunge line in Photoshop.
