Experience the enchantment of my renowned Fine Art portraiture, a specialized style of photography with a meticulous level of editing through digital artistry I've developed for over a decade.

THE SHOOT
The process begins with the photography of your scheduled Fine Art session. I'll have you position your horse at the entrance of the barn aisle or arena out of direct sunlight, with the door on the opposite end of the aisle closed, and indoor lights turned off to create a dark, minimal background behind your horse.

I'll be standing just outside of the entrance to photograph your horse. Throughout the session, I'll guide you through various adjustments to your horse's position, transitioning seamlessly between flattering poses. Using techniques I've collected over the years, we'll elicit the best curious expressions from your horse by using tricks such as crinkling wrappers, introducing a stick horse to sniff, holding up a mirror, and more, culminating in a collection of fabulous images.
POST-PROCESSING
After the photography session, the magic continues in post-production, where each image undergoes meticulous editing. Backgrounds transform into minimalistic canvases - elegant black, pristine white, or a unique textured muslin background that gives the portrait a studio feel.​

With an expert touch, I'll do any necessary cleanup work to remove flies, drool, scrapes, etc., and enhance the features and details of your horse, ensuring each Fine Art portrait is a masterpiece to immortalize your horse in this gorgeous Fine Art style.
THE DELIVERY
Upon tedious selection, editing, and completion of your final images, they will be uploaded to a private online gallery, granting you direct access for viewing and downloading to your computer.
The total quantity and style of the final images depends on the specifics of the session you've booked with me. If you choose to share your final portraits on social media, a credit to @Katie Damon Photography is sincerely appreciated, but certainly not required.

Two session options to suit your specific needs​
All sessions include adequate photography time to fulfill the number of images delivered, but will vary from horse to horse (typically between 20-45 minutes). All sessions include a private, downloadable online gallery accessible via a customized link sent to you.
Pricing for each session is per horse, and cannot be split between multiple horses. Discounted rates are offered for five or more sessions photographed at the same barn on the same day - contact Katie Damon for more information.
COLLECTED SESSION
Tailored for those seeking a simpler experience, with fewer final delivered Fine Art portraits.

BORROW A BRIDLE +$40
Subject to availability - add an extra touch of elegance to your portraits by borrowing a gorgeous Solo Equine bridle for your session. While doing product photography throughout the year, I typically have a selection of brand new bridles of various sizes and styles in stock.

CHRISTMAS NECK WREATH +$225
Have your horse's holiday photos taken any time of year with the neck wreath add-on. Choose from a variety of beautiful wreaths styles, which we'll attach around your horse's neck to create gorgeous festive photos - perfect for Christmas cards or ornaments!

Includes four additional final portraits of your horse wearing your choice of neck wreath style, and a pack of 25 Christmas cards & envelopes.
HIGH-RESOLUTION IMAGES, A LA CARTE
Unwatermarked, full resolution (3600px @300dpi) version of your choice of images added to your your gallery with print release included.​
